Caricatures for charity event

Went with Will Terrell and his wife to a Meals on Wheels fundraiser and drew some caricatures for donations. Here's a few that either myself or Will remembered to take photos of.
This guy was SO excited (not really). and his girlfriend sat next to him talking about boat insurance the whole time.

This is Amber Terrell getting one for herself. I wasn't as mean as she wanted me to be (sorry Amber) but she seemed to like it all the same.

She WAS smiling the whole time I was drawing her...until Will got out the camera.

This guy was a freebie we pulled in to gain attention. He was a really good sport about it and loved his drawing .

This was the daughter of the worker at the booth next to us. She insisted on posing like the drawing depicts the whole time. ...I don't think she thought the pose looked as stupid as it did. She wasn't too happy, but she still kept it. Her mom loved it.

Sorry for the long absence. I've been lazy and just posting to twitter, but I'm trying to get good scans to post on here soon. Here's a few.

Ahab

So this is a new personal project I'm working on. I've decided to vis. dev. the story of Moby Dick. It will include several character designs, some environments, some illustrations, etc....

This is the first of the characters I'm working on. AHAB. The whole story is really built around him so I wanted to get him to a point of completion that I'm happy with before I move on to the rest. I need him to be able, older/more experienced, Completely possessed by his obsession, and worn out.

I've started with these as a sort of rough body shape. I'll take him a bit further soon with wardrobe, expressions, and gesture, but for now, I'm pretty happy with the direction he's going.

Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks for viewing, and check back soon for more.

This is a digital painting of the lonely old man I sketched in my last post.
